If you feel passionate about supporting our causes we invite you to join the British-Ukrainian Aid charity as a voting member.
As the conflict continues to escalate, our charity's challenges have increased dramatically. Our volunteers are working tirelessly to help, but we need all the help we can get to meet the growing demands for aid.
Your involvement in our projects and initiatives will help supply humanitarian and medical aid to Ukraine more efficiently.

As a member of our charity, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our cause and take part in
Offering your time and expertise to support the charity's projects and operations, both in the UK and in Ukraine
Volunteering
Raising awareness about the situation in Ukraine and the crucial work our charity is doing, both within your own network and the wider community
Advocacy
Organising and participating in fundraising events and initiatives to secure resources for our relief efforts
Fundraising
Ensuring the charity's compliance with UK regulations, upholding our values, and contributing to the development of policies and strategies to guide our work; attending meetings and participating in discussions about the work of the charity
Governance
Building connections with other organisations, businesses, and individuals who share our mission to bolster our collective impact

We will, of course, provide you with more information about our current projects and answer any questions

Individuals and organisations whose application has been approved and accepted by the directors may attend all General Meetings, and exercise a right to vote upon the business to be conducted in the interests of the Charity or appoint a proxy to attend and vote on their behalf.

Members may also vote by written resolution.

Every member, so approved and accepted, is entitled to one vote.

Members representing at least 5% of the total voting rights of all members have a statutory right to require the directors to call an extraordinary general meeting of the Charity, particularly for consideration of non-recurring business.

Membership of the Charity is not transferable.
Members’ Rights
Members have a duty to vote in the best interests of the Charity.
All members must abide by decisions that are taken fairly and within the rules of the Charity.
Members’ Obligations
The Charity is committed to adhering to all applicable data protection laws and regulations, ensuring that personal information is stored and used in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
An applicant’s personal data will be kept for a period of [six months] in order for the Charity to correspond with the applicant and deal with the application process.
A member’s personal data will be kept for as long as the applicant remains a member, and thereafter as required by the relevant legislation.
The Charity’s membership register will be kept up to date and will be kept available for inspection in accordance with the relevant legislation.

Members may resign at any time by notifying the Charity in writing, unless after the resignation there would be fewer than two members.
