About the event

We invite you to join us for a charitable jazz concert and one-of-its-kind embroidered art exhibit to raise funds for life-saving aid to Ukraine.

Following her hugely successful London performance in February, the legendary Nazgul Shukaeva will arrive from Kyiv specifically for the exclusive JAZZ NIGHT 4 UKRAINE to reunite one more time with Anton Syzko (bass), David Gordon (piano) and Kōbō (percussion). Before the concert, you will have a chance to admire the stunning work displayed as part of the EMBROIDERERS' STORIES project curated by Nisia Jedrychowska and co-sponsored by British-Ukrainian Aid.

A few weeks after the war started, Nisia called for Ukrainian artists and craft makers to create 100 hand embroidered squares that form a huge decorative wall hanging inspired by the joyful paintings of Maria Prymachenko, one of Ukraine's most celebrated artists. Nisia wanted to bring joy into the lives of Ukrainian women living through the war and give them something positive to focus on while also supporting them financially.

You'll have a chance to talk to the artists and ask your questions during the Q&A.

Before and after the event our guests will be able to try Ukrainian dishes at the cafe and have a drink at the bar just outside the main hall.

This event is co-organised with AUGB London.

We look forward to seeing you!
