Screening: “The Ukrainians of Donbas” on 13th March 2016

Screening: “The Ukrainians of Donbas” on 13th March 2016 at the Ukrainian Centre, 154 Holland Park Avenue, London W11 4UH. This screening will be followed by Q&A with film director Ruslan Gorovyi.

The documentary provides an insight into the life of a civilian family in the East of Ukraine. This is the film about war, occupation, life choices, imprisonment and liberation. And, of course, it’s about love. “The film characters are very close to my heart, particularly, because I lived in Donbass when I was a young adult; and also, since the beginning of war in 2014, I spent more time there than in my present home town Konotop” says Ruslan.

Ruslan Gorovyi is a well-known Ukrainian journalist, documentary film director, novelist and activist of the Ukrainian volunteers movement.

Directed by: Ruslan Gorovyi Runtime: 50 minutes Country: Ukraine Language: original (Russian and Ukrainian), dubbed in English
