Ukrainian Medical Association of the United Kingdom (UMAUK) and British-Ukrainian Aid (BUkrA) charity are pleased to announce a forthcoming conference “Healthcare and Military Conflict: Challenges and Solutions“.
The Conference will address a wide range of issues and challenges of medical treatment and rehabilitation of different groups affected by armed conflict with a focus on the East of Ukraine. In particular, the speakers will discuss government reforms, the role of NGOs, medical and psychological training and practical experience from the battlefield. The programme is available HERE.
Keynote speakers include Oleh Musiy, Health Minister (27 Feb-1 Oct 2014), MP, Ukraine; Professor Bill Yule, Emeritus Professor of Applied Child Psychology at the Institute of Psychiatry, King’s College London; Semyon Gluzman, Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatry Association (1980) & Honorary Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (1980), Human Rights Activist, Ukraine
